Here is a great idea. I wish I would of been the one that thought of it. But I will share it with you and then you can share it with who you know and so on. Let us make this idea snowball. It will make for a healthier Canada. I feel a great passion to have this message read.
Canada is a country in which I was born and raised and I have children and grand children living in. and they will continue after I pass. This is life; our country Canada, is a precious place and I want, like every one else, a cleanlier Earth.
The idea, is that Canada Post could remove off the roads, their vehicles. They have areas of delivery that could be done on foot. Actually, a lot of areas that could be done by foot. About ten or 15 years ago, they put hundreds of right hand vehicles on the road and carriers that where foot soldiers became drivers.
For an example, in one depot alone in Alberta had 50 vehicles brought in to do the jobs that letter carriers use to do. Now I don’t know the exact stats., but I beleive if these areas alone where change to foot carriers, think of the gas alone that would be saved. Think of the loss of harmful gases in our air.
One other thing is removing their customer mailboxes. You know those community boxes that where brought in to care for new communities. Most people drive up to these boxes leave their car or truck running, get out and retrieve their mail. Then they get back in their vehicle and drive off.
See where I am going with this. If these where removed and put delivery on foot, how much more cleaner our air would be and the saving on gas.
Canada needs to embrace this idea and since our Post Office if still government owned and our government wants to save our planet. They know they need to start at home. This would give every Canadian an example to follow and our Canada would stay as beautiful, as we want it to be. We as Canadian citizens are paying these gas bills for these vehicles and we breathe this air.
So Canada Post, please embrace this mandate to ‘ Go Green ‘. Let us have a Green Post and show the rest of the world how we are serious about saving our planet and let us get those vehicles off the road and employ foot carriers to deliver our letters and parcels.
Green Post, Green Post, green post, sounds good eh?
Please, Please, Please Let us go Green. Each who reads this post share this idea and let us as Canadians ask for Canada Post to go Green, if we all agree we can make this change happen.
This is almost like a cry for help. Our planet needs us and needs us Now. Do not just think about it, but let us have our voices heard. Let us get those vehicles off the road and NOW.
Here is a page Canada Post published on a website “go green with your mail’ and at the bottom you can ‘Contact us ‘. click on this link and say. “I am Canadian, and I’m here to help. I am really grateful to the management of Canada Post for their struggle to ‘go green’. Please hear our suggestion, where ever you can remove gas vehicles and use foot soldiers. Everywhere there is a CMB remove it and have delivery on foot. Click here Canada Post Go Green
Thank you, and God Bless.

What is cystic fibrosis?
I am posting about Cystic Fibrosis because my husbands sister has a child with this disease and has suffered through long stays in the hospital from time to time. As growing up he played hockey which is credited to him living to age 20.
Early this morning we got a phone call that he is in the hospital suffering with a knife stabbing to the lung. He was out with his older sister at the big mall and was called to defend a girl from some shady characters. When a knife was drawn and Nephew was stabbed.
We are really worried about him but as we live in another province and can be there in a moment, we ask God to take this worry and care for it for us. I am praying constantly today for him.

This part of the story is to try spread the word about this disease and how we can help fellow Canadians. I think if you know what this disease is about you would understand how any little help is great help.

This was written by www.cysticfibrosis.ca

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is the most common, fatal genetic disease affecting young Canadians. CF is a multi-organ disease affecting primarily the lungs and the digestive system. In the lungs, CF causes severe breathing problems. A build-up of thick mucus makes it difficult to clear bacteria and leads to cycles of infection and inflammation, which damage the delicate lung tissues. They must follow a demanding daily routine of physical therapy to keep the lungs free of congestion and infection.

In the digestive tract, CF makes it extremely difficult to digest and absorb adequate nutrients from food. Thick mucus blocks the ducts of the pancreas, preventing enzymes from reaching the intestines to digest food. Therefore, persons with CF must consume a large number of artificial enzymes (on average 20 pills a day) with every meal and snack, to help them absorb adequate nutrition from their food.

How many Canadians have cystic fibrosis?

It is estimated that one in every 3,600 children born in Canada has CF.

At the present time, approximately 3,500 children, adolescents, and adults with cystic fibrosis attend specialized CF clinics.

What Are the Signs and Symptoms of Cystic Fibrosis?

    * difficulty breathing;
* constant cough which expels thick mucus;

    * excessive appetite, with weight loss;

    * bowel disturbances;

    * skin which tastes salty;

    * repeated or prolonged bouts of pneumonia;
* failure to thrive.

CF was first described as a disease in the late 1930s. At that time, it was usually recognized only after a child had died, often as a result of malnutrition or pneumonia. Medical awareness of CF has increased tremendously over the years. Nevertheless, cystic fibrosis can still be confused with other common diseases — such as asthma, chronic bronchitis or pneumonia, and celiac disease.

What Causes Cystic Fibrosis?

People are born with cystic fibrosis; it is a genetic disorder.

Approximately one in every 25 Canadians carries a defective version of the gene responsible for CF. A carrier has only one copy of the gene responsible for CF. Carriers do not have cystic fibrosis, and can never get the disease. In most cases, they are not even aware that they are carriers, because they do not have cystic fibrosis, or any of its symptoms.

When two people who carry a defective version of the gene responsible for CF have a child, there is:

    * a 25% chance that the child will be born with cystic fibrosis;

    * a 50% chance that the child will not have CF, but will be a carrier;

    * a 25% chance that the child will not have CF, and will not be a carrier.

With each pregnancy, the risks are exactly the same. Two carrier parents may have several children with CF or none at all.
Please help if you can, check out their site and donate. please

Just recently my partner and I had this conversation.
“I really can’t believe how society are pushing the use of new compact light bulb. Sure they last longer than the regular light bulb , the ones we have used for years. The ones Edison discovered in the 1870’s.“
I responded with the question,” What do you mean?”
He shook his head and said “People don’t realize that these new bulbs have mercury in them and tell me, after that bulb is spent, what do you do with it???”" Not in the garbage, this is mercury we are talking about. A highly toxic material.”
Everyone is pushing out the incandescent light bulb, but at what cost? And speaking about cost. Here is a story of what the cost is if you happen to break one (like dropping it)

Consider this lady’s plight.

When the bulb she was installing in a ceiling fixture of her 7-year-old daughter’s bedroom crashed to the floor and broke into the shag carpet, she wasn’t sure what to do. Knowing about the danger of mercury, she called Home Depot, the retail outlet that sold her the bulbs.

According to the Ellison American, the store warned her not to vacuum the carpet and directed her to call the poison control hot line in Prospect, Maine. Poison control staffers suggested she call the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Maine Department of Environmental Protection.

The latter sent over a specialist to test the air in her house for mercury levels. While the rest of the house was clear, the area of the accident was contaminated above the level considered safe. The specialist warned Bridges not to clean up the bulb and mercury powder by herself – recommending a local environmental cleanup firm.

That company estimated the cleanup cost, conservatively, at $2,000. And, no, her homeowners insurance won’t cover the damage.

Since she could not afford the cleanup, Bridges has been forced to seal off her daughter’s bedroom with plastic to avoid any dust blowing around. Not even the family pets are permitted in to the bedroom. Her daughter is forced to sleep downstairs in an overcrowded household.

She has continued to call public officials for help – her two U.S. senators included. So far, no one is beating down Bridges’ door to help – not even Al Gore, whose Academy Award-winning movie, “An Inconvenient Truth,” urges everyone to change to COMPACTFLORESCENTLIGHTs to save the planet from global warming.

Dear Blogging Readers,
An impending crisis maybe coming of oil prices. The cost maybe going to skyrocket based on one factor.
Geopolitics is a delicate balancing act. All it takes is one tiny flake to snowball into a global crisis.

On June 14, 1914, a man was killed as he was driven down a street in Sarajevo.
The outcome changed the world forever. The man who died was Archduke Franz Ferdinand.
Blaming the Serbian government for the assassination, Austria-Hungary demanded they bring the assassins to justice. Unsatisfied with their response, Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia on July 28, 1914.
Because of a treaty with Serbia, Russia began mobilizing its army to aid its ally.
Germany then declared war on Russia because they felt the Russian mobilization was an act of war against their ally, Austria-Hungary. France soon jumped into the fray because of a treaty with Russia. They declared war on Germany. Bounded by a treaty with France, Britain also declared war on Germany. Then Japan, allied with Britain, declared war on Germany too. Italy chickened-out of their alliance with Germany and Austria-Hungary–no shock there–and the U.S. (for one of the last times) didn’t stick its nose in other peoples’ business.
The rest–as they say–is history. One flake had snowballed into a global boulder.

Ninety-three years later, the game hasn’t changed…just the players. And nobody has learned their lesson.
The setting for geopolitical tension has shifted to the Middle East. But now the stake is oil.

This morning, oil broke out over $63 a barrel, reaching a three month record high. Those prices are set to break last July’s record of $78.40 a barrel…even potentially break past $100 a barrel. The latest surge is coming from Iran’s actions over the last few days.

So where to begin?
Who Needs OPEC Anyway?
OPEC has long been the driver behind oil’s prices.
It’s no secret that Iran covets higher oil prices. Let’s face facts, higher oil prices are essential for Iran’s economic success. Production from their aging fields has been in decline over the last few years. Higher prices mean they can sell less oil without losing revenue.
But one thing Iran has taught us is that they don’t need OPEC to drive up oil.
They can do that all by themselves…and its frightening how easy it is done.
Consider Iran’s defiance over their nuclear program. Every time they are pressured to stop enriching uranium, Iran thumbs its nose at the global community. And why not? Each time they do so, oil moves upward.
Do you find it a coincidence that ever since Iran’s nuclear program was discovered in 2003, the price of oil has doubled!
On Saturday, March 24th, the U.N. once again imposed its preferred method of punishment–stricter sanctions. This time around they adopted resolution 1747. It applied a new set of restrictions on Iran’s arms exports, its state-owned Bank Sepah as well as the elite Revolutionary guards.
In response, Iran announced that they were partially suspending cooperation with the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) and will pursue uranium enrichment as they wish.

The reason?
Iran feels that the sanctions imposed on March 24th were “illegal”. According to the Iranian Foreign Minister, “A few select countries don’t have the right to abuse the Security Council.” He later added, “Actions that are illegal, unwarranted and unjustified will reduce the credibility of the Security Council.”
Historically, imposing sanctions has been used to gain an advantage in future negotiations. So naturally we can assume that some kind of compromise is coming soon, right?

Think again.
Without their controversial nuclear program, Iran wouldn’t have the power to move oil prices as much. And they can’t rely on OPEC, either. At their last meeting, OPEC decided against cutting production. The next meeting isn’t scheduled until September.
One Event Sparked that Sparked a World War
On the eve of Saturday’s U.N. sanctions, Iran threw another curve ball to the global community.
They captured Fifteen British sailors for allegedly being in Iranian waters. As you can imagine, Britain is livid over the situation. They have repeatedly stated the sailors weren’t in Iranian waters, and are demanding their return.
But don’t expect this to resolve nicely. Iran is looking to charge the 15 sailors for “illegal entrance into Iranian waters.” The fact that they are charging the sailors means that this could be a drawn out event–shooting oil prices up the entire time.

How high are we talking about here?
Open conflict with Iran could easily push crude oil past $100 a barrel.
The flake has already started to roll.
A big hand punch to Keith Kohl

A passion for completeness is a passion for life.

This means, merging the female and male powers into one. The union of male powers and female powers is about spiritual completeness, nothing less.

For men this will mean changing to nurturing and tenderness. To have female qualities is not enough, man’s force and violence have become outrageous in this world because men leave these feminine energies to women. Then oppresses the female (especially the sisters of some parts of the world). But now it has been made known. This treatment of women has come to the surface to be recognized and healed. The male ego will diminish with healing and the ability to merge will increase.

In men’s eyes,the worth of a female will rise as men stop thinking of themselves as the opposite of female. Spiritually, man is female. Once the male spirit takes hold of this female energy his mind and body will totally merge. The outcome would be total and pure awareness. Then, a man can truly be a man.

The journey to wholeness for females is different, it means raising female qualities to be equal to man. A woman will need to build up her energies (force, power), which have been for so long forced into submission by the male dominant society. The male will have to diminish his dominance. When this is accomplished we will be achieving balance. The world needs to be claimed by affection, tenderness, nurturing, intuition, and beauty. All female spiritual attributes, and it is obvious that aggression, violence, struggle, and competition, (exaggerated male qualities) has not been working for us.

Each woman needs to allow herself the time it takes to use their energy to accomplish balance, that has always been the male ego. Everyone has female energy running threw their veins, but women have been given the ability to tell the difference between their energy, which is subtle and spiritual, and brute force.

This world must and will be changed as these traits evolve. The power is ours, we can succeed and will. As each woman does her part, our world will be balanced.

The spiritual strengths of female power:

Females understand. Instead of imposing, she communicates.

Females are patience. Instead of forcing an answer, she waits for spirit to produce one.

Females are tender. Instead of ignoring emotions, she uses emotion to tell when someone else is ready to listen and act.

Females are peaceful. No situation ever requires force.

Females are creative. She creates answers where none were seen before.

Females are wise. She knows the whole story rather than a few parts; she gives and takes, which always comes from love.

This is a revelation. The truth and nothing but the truth.
